Information
For centuries Belgium has upheld a tradition of master craftsmanship, from Rubens’ paintings and gothic architecture to products made of intricate lace and glittering crystal to fabulous cuisine. Since 1926, Godiva founded by Joseph Draps, developed a unique technique for rich chocolate with unusual smoothness and shell-moulded designs. The first shop opened on a cobblestone street on the Grand Place in Brussels and was met with instant acclaim. Joseph Draps set very high standards for quality ingredients, beautiful design and closely guarded recipes which are still in use today.
